Our little Abbie is almost a week old. I can't believe it! She has been so much fun and is such a good baby! I'm not really sure what to do with myself because she only cries if she gets really hungry and other than that she just sleeps. I'm used to babies who cry alot more than that! :) We are loving her! I wanted to write down her birth story so I can remember it so.... here it goes.

We went in on Thursday the 10th for a scheduled induction at 7:15. When I got there and got all hooked up they said I was already in active labor at a 3 and 70%! Yay! That just made things go so much faster. My dr. came in around 8:30 and broke my water and by 9:00 I was dieing for an epidural! Its crazy how fast things progressed this time... I kept thinking why am I already in that much pain. By 11:30 I was ready to push. By the time I finally told my nurse and she called the dr it was about 11:45 and Abbie was born at 11:59 am. She was bigger than the dr expected (9 lbs 6 oz and 19 1/2 inches long) and she got stuck a little but Dr. Craig was great. She was so calm I didn't even know what was happening until Abbie was already here. She was kindof in shock so they had to check her out first thing. Then of course it was my turn to hold her! Jerry was a little jealous because I was so out of it when Chloe was born that he got her all to himself for the first little while. This time it went so fast I didn't have time to be tired!

We are so glad she is finally here! I forgot how much fun it is to have a baby around. I don't even mind getting up in the middle of the night because she is so cuddly and fun to hold! Chloe loves her and is a great big sister. She loves to hold her and help feed here and she is always making sure Abbie is ok. She is great at getting binkies when Abbie cries and always makes sure you wash your hands before you hold her. She reminds all our visitors to wash up... its so funny! She wants to show Abbie to everyone but they only get to hold her for a "little bit time" and then its her turn again.

Hooray for good babies!! I'll be excited to meet her in person when you bring her to the library at story time one of these days.

Enjoy every minute of it! I can't beleive she is already a week old. It's so not fair that I don't get to see her till next week. I'm so excited to get to see her and hold her. Can you ask Abbie to please not grow until I see her. I'm glad she's such a good Baby she looks like a little Angel. Grandma Haws could stop gushing about how cute and squishy she was and how she couldn't wait to go see her again. Watch out she may just move in with you...though I wouldn't mind if she came and moved in with us.
