Alright... we don't have to much to blog about butI have been thinking about this all day and just have to .... I guess you could call it vent!
Have you ever felt like you are like 5 steps behind! I have... for example you have a two year old who refuses to go to bed before midnight but your too exhausted to care so you just let her watch scooby doo all night and then take a three hour nap the next day and start the process all over again... or you attempt to clean your house but in the end it still feels dirty because who has time to clean out every closet and throw away the junk or you try to cook a good dinner but as always it doesn't turn out quite as good as it sounded... I guess I just wanted to say if any of you are feeling like me today... Your not alone! :)

I hear you Katie! I feel like this all to often....I guess it's just part of being a Mom and keeping up with life. I think this is why we appreciate getting a chance to go to lunch, shopping or a movie with another adult, just to have a break from everyday. I'd like to say it get's easier, but I'm not sure it really does. Your a great Mom and just look how cute Chloe is...that proves it right there. I love the picture of her, it's perfect! By the way just tonight, I was late getting dinner done for Nate before he went to work again, so he ended up just taking it with him. I just so happened to be trying a new recipe from a magazine I just got and apparently didn't give myself enough time. Anyway I totally feel like a bad Wife that can't do anything right when I do things like that....all to often. Find something fun to do to change your routine for a day and things will feel better and just remember your probaby not alone when feeling frustrated or whatever.
Oh that picture of Chloe is so cute!! She is a big girl and that is so nice to have her all potty trained. We have taken a break for a while with Claire (I should have waited until she was a bit older - even my pediatrician says so). I'll try again in another month or two. I'm not too worried about it yet. :) I'm so glad it is over for you though. I'm sorry about the stress. . . staying at home is HARD sometimes, but so worth it. :)
I hear ya on the always being 2 steps behind! Some people don't understand why we mothers that stay home with our kids can complain about not having enough time to get things done and I just offer to let them trade me spots for a day and let them see for their selves. You have to pretty much follow right behind you kid just to keep the clutter cleaned up let alone the dishes and the laundry. BUT being a mother is still in the end worth it!
What a cute pic..I am new at this mom thing. But I understand. The other day I left the house without a bottle..Hello kid, please STARVE to death..I felt like a horrible mom..But we all survived. :)Lets get together some time.
Ugh I am realizing the two steps behind feeling yesterday I was getting Linkin ready for bed and I realized all his little pj's were dirty... I guess I am a little behind on the laundry! Yay for potty training though... I am already sick of changing diapers LOL
Oh man, I am always behind! there is always something that needs to be done that gets left undone! and I just hope I get to it the next day. Good luck with Chloe, I guess we all have different problems with our own kids! Who would ever thought parenting would be so hard! having 6-8 kids is out the window. It was after I had Brayden!
I also feel like I am not a very good friend, I just feel like I can't keep up with everything, but we just need to make time to hang out more, and who cares if the laundry doesn't get done. At least we can complain to eachother in person :) hey, it makes you feel better :) I'm so glad I know you Katie, you are so fun to be around!
ummmmmmmmmmmm YA! i know JUST what you mean, it's called MOTHERHOOD and it's TOUGH! I love it more than anything but it truly is a toughy. That's when we have to remind ourselves what's really important and it's those sweet moments we spend with our princesses:) So Sit down and relax shugga! I can't get over Chloe looking like YOU and KELSEY, I LOVE it!! ps I love that headband!
Thanks for the post. It's so nice to know I'm not alone. The frustrating thing with Liesl is that I've been working on this for seven months, and most of that time she's done really well. Then she just decided not to use the toilet. I've been inconsistent, though, but now I'm consistently giving up!
Chloe is so cute. I love her little "model" pictures. What a good idea to wrap her up! I bet she loved that!
Good luck with bedtime. Yikes. I hope things get better soon. Sometimes I feel the same way, too.
Congrats on the pottie training! I've heard that is a huge job and very exciting when it is complete! :) Chloe is growing so fast! she is so cute! You are a great mom! Hang in there! I love watching you with Chloe! in fact.... I miss that! :) We hope you are doing well!
Hey Katie I was just going to tell you to visit my sister-in-law Harmony's blog. She's been posting some interesting things on this same topic and it's been making me feel a bit better. Anyway you can get there from my blog if you want to check it out.
