This weekend we took a trip to the family house in Escalante! It is one of Jerry's favorite places. He has so many memories there and he has been dieing to share some of them with me and Chloe! This was my 5th time visiting but it was Chloe's first time! We had a blast! I am not much of a vacation person... I would rather be at home, but this was super fun! The first day we got there we had to cut all the weeds and clean the house. (no one lives in it so its closed up all year except when we visit) While Jerry and his dad were mowing weeds Joy (Jerry's mom) was telling me some stories about the house. Like I said it was my 5th time going but I didn't realize a lot of the things that happened in that house. Its so neat to be able to visit that house and all the memories that come with it! Now I understand more why Jerry loves it there so much! Chloe had so much fun there! In fact, when we pulled into our apartments yesterday she started crying because she wanted to go back to the "pink home" She calls it that because the shutters are painted pink! Here are some pictures of our fun weekend!

This is what Jerry looked like when they were done with the yard! His dad looked pretty much the same! They were exhausted by the time they finished!
Friday we went fishing at Posy. Chloe learned to cast out her line all by herself! She is funny... she wanted no help at all! She just wanted to cast it and reel it in the whole time!

She is totally her momma's girl! I have like 3 pictures of her with soda in her hand like this one! She carried one around with her everywhere! She is just like me... can't be caught without a diet dr. pepper in hand! 
Jayson (Jerry's brother) brought his four wheelers down! Chloe loves them... almost as much as Jerry! Thanks Jayson and Melissa for sharing with us!
Oh... The Frosty Shop! Its a must see in Escalante! Mostly because its really all there is to see. I thought it was pretty funny to see all the kids ordering their ice cream! 
CoUsInS! Chloe had so much fun with Baylee, Jenna and Gavyn! Even though they live pretty close to us she doesn't get to play with them alot! It was fun to be able to have 3 days of just play for them!
Saturday we fished again! Chloe mostly scared off the fish throwing rocks in the water!

Calf Creek! Chloe loved walking up the creek with Jerry! It was really slippery though.

On the way home we got to stop and see our friends in Fayette! We don't see them alot cause its so far away so it was so fun to catch up! Chloe and Gracie were so cute! I wish they could play more often! Jerry's sister planned this Escalante trip for us but then she wasn't able to come so....

We missed you guys! Thanks Jo for taking the time to plan the Escalante trip! We are so sad you couldn't make it! I know Chloe missed playing with Corbin and Aidan and we missed seeing you! Lets plan another trip this summer or fall!

We are renting a townhouse back behind where Jared Jauqes use to live. It is in a new sub division back there. We are so excited..Do you live in Logan? Or Tremonton? I couldn't remember.
Thanks for the nice comments and we should plan another vacation soon, I'm all for it! I'm so happy you all had fun and wish we'd been able to go with you all! Chloe is so dang cute! I love the fishing pictures especially! It was hard to explain to Corbin and Aidan why we had to change plans and go to a funeral instead of going to play with my family. They were more excited about going to Escalante forsure! Glad you enjoyed it!

Katie! I'm so excited that you found my blog too! :) I don't hear from anyone anymore, so I love it when I do! Thank goodness for blogs! You're little girl is so cute and I'm glad that things are going well for you guys! We need to keep in touch! :)

I just wanted to say that your blog template is soo cute as usual. And if you guys want to make a trip out here anytime your more than welcome. We'll plan some fun stuff to do....there are lots of places to fish and places to take the kids to play.
